Our reciprocity agreements with IOSH and Saiosh allows NZISM members to attain IOSH and Saiosh accreditation at the same level as their current NZISM membership. (Conditions may apply.) Equally, IOSH and Saiosh members are able to apply for NZISM accredited membership based on their IOSH/Saiosh accreditation level.

IOSH
Once accredited with NZISM you must maintain a copy of your CPD in the IOSH MyCPD system. If at any stage you do not renew your IOSH membership you must use the NZISM myCPD platform.
Application levels
- Technical IOSH can apply for Practitioner NZISM
- Graduate IOSH can apply for Professional NZISM
- Chartered IOSH can apply for Certified Professional NZISM
- Chartered Fellow IOSH can apply for Certified Fellow NZISM
What you need to do to apply
You need to complete the online application form and upload:
- A copy of your IOSH card showing name, accreditation level, membership number and expiry date.
- If your card does not show your current accreditation level please upload a copy of your certificate as well.
- If you do not have a current IOSH card then you need to supply a copy of your certificate and the receipt for your membership payment to show that you are a current IOSH member.
- Application Form for Reciprocal Accreditation
There is an application fee of $115.00 inc GST to apply. Once your application form and fee have been received, your information will be sent to the Accreditation Committee. Please note, it can take approx. 2 weeks to get your accreditation level confirmed.
UPDATE: May 2024
Previously we advised that IOSH was no longer accepting NEBOSH qualifications achieved outside of the UK for accreditation. NEBOSH has now obtained Ofqual regulation, which means NZISM members with NEBOSH qualifications are once again eligible for IOSH accreditation. IOSH accepts NEBOSH certificates that display the SQA or Ofqual accreditation logo on them, subject to membership criteria at the time of application.
If there is no SQA or Ofqual accreditation logo but you have enrolled or registered before the 31 August 2022, and you completed/will complete your NEBOSH qualification before 31 August 2024, you are eligible for IOSH membership, subject to membership criteria at the time of application.
IOSH may require proof of enrolment/registration from the Training Provider (NEBOSH Learning Partner).
PLEASE NOTE: NZISM continues to accept NEBOSH qualifications for accreditation.
Saiosh
