We would like to congratulate NZISM member John McCammon and his multi-disciplinary team at Dempsey Wood who have been nominated as a finalists in the iiRSM Awards which will be held on 20 May and webcast from the UK.

Nomination: Dempsey Wood COVID-19 Response Team

It's great when a New Zealand company gets recognised on the international stage. All too often we put our heads down, grind to the task, and stoically insist we are 'just doing the job in hand'. That may be true, but last year the advent of COVID changed all our working environments and the job in hand became huge.

At Dempsey Wood it meant:

• modifications to operating infrastructure of the organisation;
• alterations to the organisation's health and safety systems; and
• changes in office and construction sites operating structures

The Dempsey Wood COVID-19 Response Team showed what could be done under pressure when working together and we are delighted their mahi is being recognised internationally.
