About the role

With an existing, well-established Health and Safety culture, the business is looking to continuously improve their practices. With significant investment in Health and Safety, the successful candidate will support the rollout of safety management software in the coming months. This is a national role within a division of a multi-faceted business.

With the option of being based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, this role will require travel a couple days a month. If based outside of Auckland, then some additional travel to head office in Auckland will be required.

Duties

• Driving the development and achievement of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy.

• Proactively manage risk by reviewing and maintaining risk registers within the restaurants

• Facilitate injury management from reporting, investigation through to corrective action and completion and champion good practice in post-injury management processes.

• Actively manage Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems, policies and procedures

Skills and experience

With the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams, you will have the ability to influence, motivate and coach a diverse employee group. You will be able to handle complex, shifting and varied workload.

• Multi-site experience essential

• 3-5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety advisory role essential

• Working knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and any other regulatory legislation.

• The ability to engage with leaders, managers and employees, building solid relationships, supporting them on their Health and Safety journey

• Proactive, organised and able to take initiative
