Join ANZCO Foods as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor. This position will see you play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring 'best practice' health and safety systems across ANZCO Foods, by supporting the Group Health and Safety Manager in the continuous improvement programme that supports our 3 pillars of Safety (Process, Procedures and People).
This is a permanent full-time position based at our Head Office in Christchurch and the position reports to our Group Health and Safety Manager.
This role will see you work closely with our Health and Safety teams at each site, alongside being responsible for Health and Safety on ANZCO farms where you will work closely with our Farms Managers. Your time will be split by supporting our farms and working with our Group Health and Safety Manager at a group level. This position will require some travel.
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Playing a key role in successfully delivering the group's health and safety programme
Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of the Safety Management System
Providing expert health and safety advise to the Supply and Systems business unit, with a particular focus on the agriculture area, made up of 10 farms in multiple locations (mix of crops and grazing) in Canterbury
Implementation of the Groupwide Health and Safety Initiative programme
ICAM investigations and internal audits
Assisting in the rollout of a safety management system that fits the ANZCO Foods needs along with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018
Provide expert Health and Safety technical advice and support compliance with legislative obligations
Skills and experience we are looking for:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related disciplines (level 4 and above) and more than 5 years experience in a related Health & Safety operational or technical role
Strong experience in change management, coaching and guiding various stakeholders through change processes
Knowledge and experience in the agricultural industry is highly desirable
Experience in ISO maintenance and compliance is highly desirable
