About the role

We are excited to add a new Health, Safety & Wellness role to our amazing Business Improvement team. Working alongside the Senior Health, Safety & Wellness Adviser, you will help to deliver health and safety programmes and policies, and actively promote a culture of health, safety and wellness throughout all levels of the organisation.

This full-scope Health & Safety role will provide support for contractor compliance and management, audit and inspections, training and induction, risk assessments, investigations, and hazard identification.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow your health & safety career, in a medium-sized Council in one of the most desirable locations in NZ!

About you

You will bring intermediate level experience in developing and implementing organisational health and safety systems, programmes, policies, processes, risk assessments and reporting.

Your ability to build strong relationships and communicate in an effective and timely manner will underpin your success in previous Health & Safety roles.

You will be an energetic, self-starter with the ability to manage your own tasks and organisational activities to ensure Health & Safety compliance across the organisation.

This is a permanent, full-time position with an annual salary range of $78,000 – $86,5000.
