About the company

A well-established NZ manufacturing identity with global reach, our client employs over 600 staff and operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Emission certified, they place a great deal of importance on sustainability, the environment and the health, safety and wellbeing of their workforce.

About the role

A potential next step in safety and wellness, you’ll work closely with a supportive HSW Manager, assisting them to provide day to day support, collaborate on projects and working with managers to champion safety across the site.

This is an opportunity to expand your existing skillset with exposure to varied duties in a manufacturing environment.

Duties will include

• Contractor management

• Assist with document review and development

• Participate in audits

• Assist with return-to-work management

About You

Ideally, you’ll have solid experience as a health and safety Coordinator or Junior Advisor, manufacturing experience is preferred. This is a busy environment, so adaptability is a must and you’ll be able to self-manage and prioritise your tasks.

Practical working knowledge of the HSWA is needed, along with the confidence to present information to groups and comfortably interact with management and operational staff to gain buy in and engagement with new policies and procedures.

• Experience in manufacturing and machine guarding

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience writing and reviewing compliance documentation

• Level 6 Diploma (or currently studying)

• Own transport
