About the role

Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety and based at their largest site and head office, as the HSW Business Partner you will be responsible for coaching, supporting, and improving the way leaders achieve their departmental Health, Safety and Wellbeing objectives. With over 600 employees onsite, you will be part of a team of experts, providing education and coaching on health and safety procedures and policies.

As a champion for what “great” Health, Safety & Wellbeing looks like, you will be a trusted advisor to your area of the business on all aspects of HSW and provide the backup and support as needed to the Head of Health and Safety.

Robust implementation of the critical risk program will also be part of your duties and an industrial, engineering or process safety background may come in very handy.

Skills and experience

• Relevant tertiary level qualification in Health and Safety

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable

• Practical working knowledge of ISO standards and HSNO regulations

• Strong knowledge of the HSWA and related legislation

• Previous senior level Health and Safety experience is required

• Proven ability working with energy, in a fast-paced organisation

• Pragmatic approach with strong engagement/mentoring skills
