The Christchurch City Council is on a journey to make health, safety and wellbeing the way we do business. Our work is diverse and our Health, Safety and Wellbeing work is no different. From infrastructure, community events, recreation services, outdoor parks, visitor attractions, libraries and facilities. We have a responsibility for not only ourpeople but also the community that utilise our services.

To achieve this, we are now looking for three Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisors. We are looking for people with drive who want to get out there and get things done. We have a pro-active, collaborative team culture and want to hear from people who enjoy growing their skills and experience whilst tackling challenges together.

What will you do:

- Positively promote and effectively facilitate health, safety and wellbeing across all functions of the Christchurch City Council This could be across infrastructure, facilities and/or operations

- Build and foster relationships with people leaders, staff and key stakeholders to enable meaningful collaboration

- Educate, coach and mentor our people in health, safety and wellbeing business systems and processes, therefore advancing our health, safety, and wellbeing maturity

- Work within the wider Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, undertaking investigations, reviewing, and developing systems and strategies and working alongside operational teams to advise on risk and best practice

- As a diverse organisation with a variety of work and customers, we are looking for someone who has the ability to influence across the organisation and build strong, enduring relationships with those that utilise your skills

We are looking for people who have the following:

- Experience providing advice across a range of operations across the team we need a balance of skills including but not limited to: industrial process, construction, physical works, infrastructure, facilities, fleet plant,equipment, parks, compliance, contractor management, public safety, staff wellbeing

- Previous experience in facilitating risk management

- Hours of work - Full-time, permanent position

- Salary - $67,787 to $90,293 per annum

- Location - This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch
