Eastland Generation is a growing renewable energy business with three geothermal power stations in Kawerau as well as a hydroelectric station in Wairoa. We are owned by Eastland Group, a major infrastructure company headquartered in Gisborne. Their operations include Eastland Port, Gisborne Airport and Eastland Network.
Our goal is for everyone on every site to return home safely each day. We have a company-wide focus on health and wellness and have initiated a number of innovative programmes for our staff and the wider community.
Due to expansion in our business, Eastland Generation need an experienced, focused and relationship-oriented Health and Safety Facilitator.
In this role, you will ensure legislative compliance, raise safety awareness and performance, and maintain and influence a proactive safety culture. You will focus on the safety of our team, contractors, visitors and stakeholders at our three Major Hazard Facility geothermal power stations in Kawerau.
You will have:
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to motivate others and achieve genuine engagement and support for safety across all levels.
* At least 3 years' experience in a related role, preferably within the energy or petrochemical sector.
* Thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* A relevant tertiary qualification.
