Role Overview:
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will hold a key position within our management structure, responsible for coordinating and supporting FFLP's occupational health and safety program. Your main objective will be to promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures. With your exceptional organisation skills and ability to build relationships, you will work closely with stakeholders to maintain a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and continuously improve FFLP's occupational health and safety program.
• Promote and enforce safety measures to protect the well-being of staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and encourage active participation from all staff members.
• Collaborate with the management team to address health and safety concerns and implement improvements.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and report writing.
• Professional certifications in health and safety required
