About the role

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, there is an opportunity to be innovative during the review of systems and processes, and to ensure risks are appropriately identified, assessed and controlled.

Influencing change, providing education and building capability and awareness at all levels, you will lead the way and model a proactive, solutions focussed and visible approach, to gain buy in, through understanding, throughout all areas of the business.

Skills and experience include:

You will be a forward-thinking Health and Safety Practitioner, who has the experience to lead and mentor your direct report, as well as create innovative and proactive systems and reporting, to get people to want to do the right thing.

Setting the strategic direction and planning with the general business strategy in mind, you will love working in a manufacturing/operational environment, have a team focus – and also have the flexibility to travel to other sites as required, for specific project work.

• Relevant tertiary qualification

• Health and Safety experience at a senior level

• Experience in a production environment with working knowledge of legislation and best industry practice

• Pragmatic in approach with excellent engagement and collaborative skillset

• Outcome focussed with strong problem solving ability

• Excellent report writing and communication skillset

• Proven ability to lead investigations to ensure root cause/s are accurately addressed

• Analytical and outcome focussed
