Engaging, influential and experienced Health and Safety Advisor required to join a company with a firm commitment to safety

The role
Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is based near New Plymouth in the Taranaki region. With managers who are 100% behind safety, this role will contribute by providing advice, leadership and education in Health and Safety to all employees and stakeholders.
Duties
* Work with the Group HSM and Site Management to successfully implement company health and safety management site wide
* Assist with the development and implementation of the site annual plan
* Complete investigations as required and assist and advise on corrective actions
* Provide guidance and direction on the management of onsite risks
* Provide education and coaching for health and safety for all employees and managers
* Ensure records and documents are kept up to date and regularly reviewed
* Provide regular safety analysis reports to Site Management
Skills and experience
* Proven experience in a similar hands on safety role
* FMCG or Manufacturing experience would be an advantage
* Relevant HSE qualifications – Diploma is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
* Motivating, influential and engaging personality
* Thorough knowledge of NZ legislation
