About the Role:
As a key contributor, you'll play a pivotal role in championing Health and Safety good practices across our business. Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will contribute to our culture of safety and ensure the implementation and creation of great health and safety practice. Join our dynamic Health & Safety and HR team of 15 at our Morningside support office where we've made significant progress in Health and Safety, yet we are still on an exciting journey towards further milestones.

How to excel:
Provide expert guidance to diverse stakeholders and actively participate in incident management.
Engage proactively with managers to minimise incident and injury frequency and severity.
Enhance existing health and safety tools, processes, and practices.
Collaborate with managers to establish, maintain, and update traffic management plans.
Timely and comprehensive reporting on all H&S matters, identifying issues, trends, and continual improvement strategies.
Monitor and assist in managing the injury portfolio to ensure swift return-to-work procedures.
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency in health and safety, and comprehensive knowledge of NZ health and safety practices.
Previous experience working in retail or on the shop floor is a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional organisational skills, effective time management, and task prioritisation abilities.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record in developing communication strategies.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferably, a tertiary qualification in health and safety or a related field.
