About the role

The Tararua District Council are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor who leads workplace health and safety management, ensuring councils statutory duties relating to the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) by developing, implementing, and maintaining ‘best practice’ health and safety strategies and systems.

Who we are looking for

Ideally, you will possess:

• Demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety management

• Diploma level or equivalent health and safety qualifications

• The ability to think strategically to develop appropriate plans for continuous improvement

• Confidence in communicating to staff, management, and governance

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft applications and the ability to pick-up new software applications
