About the company

Our client is a leader in the manufacturing industry who has just undergone huge capital investment to upgrade their facilities. They are committed to continuous improvement and innovation, for example recognising their potential environmental impact, they have revitalised their approach to wastewater. Currently a medium sized business of approximately 100 staff, with a senior leadership team of 5, they have huge plans to exponentially grow and require likeminded individuals to join them on their journey.

About the role

We require a H&S and HR allrounder. The successful applicant will be someone who is equally comfortable walking the factory floor or presenting to the executive board. A natural rapport builder, your strength will be inspiring our predominantly blue-collar workforce to work both safely and effectively.

No two days will ever be the same in this role, which offers plenty of variety and new challenges to sink your teeth into. Reporting to the CEO and with the support of the Board, we need a H&S and HR Manager who will practically and strategically enhance safety, culture and performance. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Implement and develop our H&S and HR policies, procedures and plans.

Lead investigations to understand root-cause and implement genuine solutions to improve issues.

Revitalize the talent acquisition plan to attract and retain the best talent.

Maintain personnel records including onboarding, induction, training and development.

Coordinate and support the leadership team to manage staff.

Establish and grow a leadership development programme.

Strategic workforce planning with an eye to the future.

Prepare Board reports.

Develop a high-performing and safety conscious workplace culture.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have previous experience as an HR and/or H&S Manager

Hold a relevant tertiary qualification

Be an excellent communicator who is passionate about making a difference in the workplace
