The company

The role

This is a senior leadership position reporting to the GM of People, Safety and Sustainability and as such you will have strong business/commercial acumen and a credible approach when assisting the Operational team. Supporting the acquisition and streamlining of a potential additional business unit, you will have a proven ability to align multiple business units, as well as build relationships with various business partners. You will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Health and Safety team and possess an excellent communication skillset and strong reporting ability.

Duties include:

• Provide Health and Safety advice and support to the Health and Safety team and SLT

• Promote the use and continuous development of safety systems

• Hazard and Risk Management

• Support contractor management

• Participate in process safety initiatives, analysis, and investigations

Skills and experience include:

• Relevant tertiary qualification

• Successful track record of Health and Safety leadership

• Experienced in the development and implementation of strategic safety plans

• Lead, develop and empower a high performing and engaged team

• Ensure robust and pragmatic programs are in place to support Health and Safety

Experience in Oil and Gas, Energy or Utility industries is preferred.
