As a full facility maintenance supplier, we’re a dynamic team who deliver innovative facility and open space management solutions - and provide a full range of services to maintain streetscapes, parks, sport fields, community buildings, public spaces and infrastructure across the region. We also have teams involved in landscaping, traffic management, Stormwater, arboriculture and other high impact high risk activities.

We have a bold vision: to create a world class city and deliver Aucklanders great value for money. Integral to us on this journey, is having an expert and passionate Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.

As an experienced and senior Health, Safety and Environmental professional, you’ll be reporting to the Head of Operations. With a seat at the Senior Lead team table, and together with an agile HSE team, we’ll look to you to provide strong leadership to AIM Services in the Health, Safety, and Environmental space. Partnering with the business to support and achieve an integrated approach in the proactive management of Health, Safety and Environmental standards, you’ll bring a proven strategic outlook and capability to drive the adoption of pro-active measures to raise awareness and heighten understanding of established standards, industry best practice as well as lessons learnt for continuous improvement.

Alongside playing a key role in compliance and actively championing and driving a strong health and safety culture, this is an opportunity that allows you to be passionate about the environment, making a difference to quality outcomes, and get involved and contribute to innovative initiatives as we continue to rapidly diversify and grow.

He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong knowledge on health and safety legislation, processes and principles, with significant experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental focused role within a medium to large sized organisation. Tertiary qualified in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH), you’ll have experience of implementing health and safety programmes to effect and reinforce culture change.

A strong influencer and relationship builder across all layers of the business, you’ll be solutions focussed and show evidence of driving continuous improvement across HSE. You’ll have well developed political acumen, be savvy and have the ability to engage with a wide range of people in a busy and complex environment. Strong written and oral communication skills are a key component as well as business and financial management skills.
