Greg Dearsly
Topic: Cultural Intelligence - An Essential Capability
Now, and in organisations of the future, cultural intelligence capabilities will be critical to ensure effective engagement in the multi-cultural environments we all experience at work. Even the most homogenous of organisations is still diverse, people with different backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs, all built on their Figured World. In this presentation I explore the construct that is cultural intelligence, including the four components of the framework of Drive, Knowledge, Strategy and Behaviour and how individuals and teams can develop their capabilities using this framework to create trust and understanding. I will also touch on the 10 cultural clusters and the 10 cultural values that guide individual decision making.
Greg has 23 years of experience working in the health and safety sector, with much of that time involved in a range of work associated with the waste industry. More recently Greg has started to explore the world of cultural intelligence, curating content, and becoming a Certified Cultural Intelligence Facilitator.
