Safeguard Award CPD Series - Safety II Innovation with Rob Kirkwood

Auckland Branch are excited to provide a series of CPD events involving winners of the Safeguard awards to NZISM members.

Rob Kirkwood, Organisational Performance Manager for Energyworks in Taranaki was recently recognised in the 2022 Safeguard National Health and Safety Awards for Safety II Innovation.

Rob was an early adopter of Safety Differently in the energy sector and uses the principles of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) as a foundation for how Energyworks operates.

In his presentation, Rob will share how an organisation can increase performance by establishing a human centric focus to its operation and how removing the term ‘Health and Safety’ from your vocabulary can have enormous benefits.

Rob will also share how to operationalise the new view of safety and some of the ups and downs of Energyworks implementation.
