Join the Rotorua Branch for their annual AGM. Register for in person attendance or via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed to you after you register.
The AGM will be followed by a presentation from Vance Walker on 'How Tikanga can create a positive change in the workspace"
The cautious DNA of Māori originates from their Polynesian seafaring heritage. The lived knowledge and behaviours that managed risk while exploring the World’s biggest expanse of ocean still resonates with Māori and other vulnerable workers today. This presentation provides a narrative of a history of indigenous Māori and health and safety, the emergence of a new genre of practice unique to the World, derived from a lived Māori knowledge base and reconciled with the health and safety needs of modern workplaces.
There will be opportunity to network with members following the presentation at morning tea. NZISM will provide tea/coffee and light refreshments.
