Bella Wilton was key in implementing a Health and Safety Strategy and Wellbeing programme for the Wellington City Council at the beginning of 2017. This strategy was recognised at the NZ workplace Health and Safety Awards 2018 as the ‘best initiative to promote better worker health’. Bella will talk about the award-winning strategy, lessons learned along the way and what is next for wellbeing at Wellington City Council.
Bio:
Bella Wilton is a senior health, safety and wellbeing advisor with Wellington City Council where she started in May 2016. Her formative career included 10 years as a family Lawyer with ‘Lawyer for child’ specialisation. Following a move to Wellington and time at home to full time parent, Bella undertook work in central government before the move to this current position in local government. Bella is passionate about wellbeing and supporting those around her to bring their whole self to work
