Haere hauora atu hoki haumaru mai –
Everyone who goes to work comes home healthy and safe.
Safe Work, Healthy Work and Equitable Outcomes is needed for all workers.
Kaimahi Māori are harmed at a disproportionate rate to that of non-Māori in all sectors across Aotearoa. Māori are more likely to work in high-risk sectors such as Construction, Forestry, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Transport. This must change and we need your expertise to help address these issues.
This interactive Wānanga seeks your full participation, knowledge on health and safety and possible solutions for change.
Te Pou Ora (WorkSafeNZ) are facilitating a one-day kaupapa Māori wānanga (focus group) to discuss, highlight and bring forth the issues facing kaimahi Māori in Te Waipounamu. This will be held under Tikanga Māori principles of Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga.
This wānanga is open to NZISM members only. It is FREE of charge and Kai will be provided. This event is limited to 60 members.

Thank you for joining the Women in Safety Excellence (WISE) network.
We hold various online and face-to-face events throughout the year and if one occurs near you, we would love to meet you in person.
LinkedIn - Please make sure you join our LinkedIn group to stay connected and on top of our planned webinars and events. We encourage you to post anything in the WISE group page that you think other network members would find useful or inspiring. Please don't be shy. The more we reach out, the more we connect with each other, and the more we can help each other on our journeys.
We might send you the occasional email but our web page on the NZISM website is always the best place to go for an overview of what's coming up in the WISE calendar.
Best wishes,
Margaret van Schaik
