Join Chris Peace as he delves into the question of "When has enough training been given to young workers?"

And - how does that fit with the duty to give information, training, instruction, or supervision in section 36(3)(f)?

Bio

Chris started his OSH career in the UK where he worked in a regulatory role, enforcing health and safety legislation. After immigrating to New Zealand he moved into risk management and worked in various roles before joining the Natural Gas Corporation as Corporate Risk Manager and ultimately moving on to establish Risk Management Ltd, an evidence-based risk management consultancy.

More recently, Chris has been sharing his wealth of information through teaching. He has lectured at Massey University (Auckland) and is currently at Victoria University (Wellington), teaching papers on management and assessment of risk in the Master's programme.

Chris has an MSc in Risk Management and Safety Technology. For his PhD he wrote a research paper on "The effectiveness of risk assessments". He is a Certified Fellow of NZISM, a Chartered Fellow of IOSH, and firm believer that effective risk management drives organisational improvement and is an integral responsibility for all managers.
