The Haumaru Tāngata Project is a three-year research initiative undertaken in collaboration with the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), aligning with ACC’s Workplace Injury Prevention Grant stream to improve health and safety systems in New Zealand workplaces. With a focus on reducing and preventing workplace injuries among Māori workers, the project explores how Māori knowledge and cultural practices can inform more effective workplace health and safety interventions. By integrating various expertise, the project seeks to develop a responsive framework applicable nationwide, with a lasting impact on worker well-being.
Join us for an insightful webinar where Moira Loach and Jodhi Warwick-Ponga from Haumaru Tāngata will be joined by Arthur Shaw and Crystal Pomare from ACC.
Together, they will delve into the partnership between Haumaru Tāngata and ACC, shedding light on its inception, development, and the journey of putting it into action through the pilot phase.
