Get involved: Contribute to the future of our profession

The International Network of Safety & Health Professionals Organisations (INSHPO) recently developed a new global strategy with a clear direction: to deliver real, practical value to professionals and strengthen our collective impact across the world.

But a strategy on paper means nothing without people behind it. As part of this next phase, INSHPO has formed sub committees to work on strategic deliverables. This creates an opportunity for NZISM members to step forward and contribute their experience, insight, and time to meaningful projects that will shape the profession's future.

What’s involved?

Committee participation may include:

  • Contributing your professional expertise to specific initiatives
  • Supporting project work aligned to key strategic priorities
  • Collaborating with professionals from different countries and contexts
  • Sharing practical knowledge that others can learn from.

This is not about titles or hierarchy. It’s about contribution.

We are looking for:

  • Experienced practitioners with deep knowledge to share
  • Emerging professionals who want to grow and connect internationally
  • Individuals willing to give some time to something bigger than their day job.

Why get involved?

This is a chance to:

  • Influence the direction of the profession globally
  • Build connections across cultures, industries, and regions
  • Develop your own capability through real, applied work
  • Be part of something that has a lasting impact.

The profession has always moved forward when people step up and share what they know. That hasn’t changed.

If you are interested in contributing, we encourage you to put your name forward - ideally by 8 May 2026.
