Our Networks

Sharing knowledge and success

The Health & Safety profession is intrinsically altruistic. There is a shared goal to improve health, safety and wellbeing across Aotearoa's workplaces and to ensure New Zealanders come home each day, safe and unharmed.

The sharing of knowledge, experiences and learnings helps support that shared goal and NZISM facilitates this for our members and the broader health and safety community.

Member networks

NZISM supports 14 branches nationwide. Our branches provide regular local CPD opportunities (eg. specialist speakers and site visits) as well as encouraging relaxed networking (eg. coffee catchups and 'After 5s').

We also run member-only networks based around some specific industry sectors. Our online Sector Forums and Special Interest Groups meet monthly to discuss hot topics, share challenges and provide support. There are often specialist guest speakers, too.

Open networks

NZISM supports two self-managed open networks that welcome both members and non-members (WISE and ESL) and we are also proud to host resources for Aotearoa's HSRs.

WISE

Women In Safety & Health Excellence promotes the equity and advancement of women in the health and safety profession.

ESL

Our Emerging Safety Leaders network supports those who are just starting their career journey in health and safety.
