submissions > Mentally Healthy Work

Dec 2023 - Thank you to all members who contributed to our feedback on WorkSafe's proposed "Mentally Healthy Work" guidelines.

NZISM's collective response has been submitted to WorkSafe. However, the timeline was tight and we have advocated for more consultation on this important topic. WorkSafe have indicated they hope to run a series of workshops in 2024.

General comments
1) What did you find useful about this guidance?
NZISMs comments represent the wide spectrum of views of the Health and Safety Profession.
Some of our comments will be contradictory because we want to ensure the voice of all of our
members is captured and presented to WorkSafe.
Thank you for the opportunity to engage in this really important mahi.
We found it a useful document to read. Overall, the language is good, great use of plain English
making it easily accessible and easy to understand. It is set out well with good use of diagrams.
It is valuable that it makes it clear that managing this risk is a legislative requirement right at the
beginning.
