General comments

1) What did you find useful about this guidance?
The concepts the document is trying to get
across are clear. It’s a short useful source of information. Generally we have positive feedback on the
document and what its attempting to achieve..

2) Is there any key information missing from this guidance? There are a number of gaps which
we have listed in additional sections under specific comments. Adding
a simple comment regarding
minimising movement and speed, so that you don’t create the dust in the first place would be helpful,
maybe under the housekeeping or site design section. Also maintaining road surfaces either by sealing
them or using a water cart should be added in the provide a safe site design table.

3) Do you have any other general feedback? If so, add it here:
It would be good to address the
issue of workers right to complain if the air around them is not fit for purpose there is often peer
pressure to keep quiet about working environments and it would be good to ensure the messaging is
clear that it is every workers right to operate within clean and safe environments.

kinds of environments

Add testing laboratories, the labs have higher exposure that onsite.
Control is as simple as putting a lid on the sieve.

poor air quality affect me

There are lots of comments about illness and cancer etc, but general
discomfort is not included and is really important. When workers
operate in an environment without discomfort it improves
