NZISM National Office staff are working extremely hard right now on a very exciting project. We are working with a company called Formition on a big upgrade to our website and member services. I’m really excited about the new features that we have to share with you.

Some of the things we’re working on are:

• Smarter and easier ways to sign up and change your details including a move to true anniversary date membership and more flexible ways to pay and manage your account
• New ways to build connections with other members
• An NZISM application for iOS and Google Play that will let you have your events, CPD, login details and more in your pocket
• Better notification services (such as event reminders) including app notifications and SMS reminders
• A new CPD logging system with some of the current pain taken out of it
• A much-improved member search that will enable people to find their nearest NZISM members and learn more about them, then connect
• Potential AI answers to your questions, faster and better
• Improved communication and security.

There will be a little learning curve to understand the new features. We’re working on a roll-out plan that will include potential training and webinars.

Our intended go-live for this project is November so it’s all hands to the pump. For the next little while, NZISM staff will be a bit distracted by the demands of this project and our capacity to take on other new work will be a bit limited. So please be kind in the meantime.
