About the Role

Are you a hands-on leader with the expertise to assess risk, craft strategy and influence across all levels of an organisation?

This role provides a unique opportunity to drive Health, Safety, and Compliance strategy on a national level.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for creating frameworks and delivering targets that ensure safe, compliant and empowered workplaces.

Engage with stakeholders from the shop floor to the boardroom, to promote proactive safety and compliance while embedding a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement practical Health, Safety and Compliance strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated Health and Safety team, fostering organisational capability and performance.
  • Influence senior leaders and operational teams to adopt sustainable safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and best-practice frameworks.
  • Establish training and support systems to empower employees at all levels.

Skills and Experience

We anticipate the successful candidate will have experience within the transport and logistics industry and have the following:

  • Proven leadership in Health and Safety Management in high-risk industries.
  • Strong risk assessment and strategic planning abilities.
  • Skilled at engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience building systems and processes that enhance business value.
  • A pragmatic, people-focused approach to Health, Safety and Compliance.
