About the role

As Health and Safety Coordinator, you'll be a hands-on contributor to a team that's being built with clear purpose. You'll help keep our systems accurate, our people informed and our safety culture active, working alongside the Chief Advisor Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW), the Senior Advisor and Wellbeing Advisor as part of a close-knit team within People & Culture division.

Duties

  • Maintain health and safety compliance records and data systems, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Assist with the upkeep of HSW policies, procedures and documentation
  • Support incident and investigation record-keeping
  • Assist with safety training, inductions and onboarding processes
  • Help organise and support safety events
  • Assist with hazard identification and risk assessment activities
  • Minute taking for relevant meetings
  • Support the Wellbeing Advisor with initiatives and help drive a positive wellbeing culture
  • Communicate health, safety and wellbeing information clearly to staff, leaders and contractors·

Skills and experience

  • Health and Safety in the Workplace Certificate (Level 4) or 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 2+ years of HSW experience, preferably within the electrical industry or a comparable environment
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and relevant standards
  • Comfortable with data and digital tools for record-keeping and reporting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, clear and practical
  • Organised and hands-on, with the ability to manage competing priorities
