About the Role

As this organisation continues to invest in its manufacturing operations, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager based in Paeroa.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you'll lead health, safety and wellbeing across the manufacturing operation while supporting several associated operations throughout New Zealand. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with operational leaders, balancing strategic direction with practical support to continue building capability, strengthen systems and embed a mature safety culture.

This is an on-site role based in Paeroa and is best suited to someone who lives locally or is genuinely prepared to relocate or commute.

Duties

  • Coach and mentor leaders to build health and safety capability
  • Drive critical risk management and continuous improvement
  • Review systems, investigations, audits and operational performance

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or related discipline
  • Manufacturing or other high-risk operational experience
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation
  • Experience improving health and safety management systems
  • Professional certification or membership with a recognised industry body is highly regarded
