About the role

This fixed term role supports the construction phase and physical installation of a baggage handling system(. The design phase is complete; this role is focused on the build. Working alongside project leaders and contractors, you will provide construction-focused health and safety guidance, manage contractor interfaces and ensure high-risk installation work is planned and executed safely. You will contribute to assurance activity and support the wider HSW team as the project moves toward commissioning and handover.

Duties

  • Provide construction Health and Safety support across the installation phase
  • Manage contractor engagement, coordination and interface risks
  • Review SWMS, JSAs, methodologies and high-risk work controls
  • Deliver site audits, inspections and performance reviews
  • Report on risk, trends and HSW performance to project leadership

Skills and experience

  • Relevant HSW qualifications with a strong construction health and safety background
  • Construction experience with oversight of complex installation projects with multiple contractors and workstreams
  • Proven capability managing contractor engagement, interface risks and high-risk work environments
  • Experience with automated systems, conveyors, plant or mechanical installations would be an advantage
  • 5+ years’ relevant construction or project experience, with strong stakeholder and influencing skills
