About the role

Based on a live project site, this is a hands-on HSE role where you’ll be embedded in daily operations. You’ll work closely with project teams, contractors and leadership to manage risk, influence behaviours and ensure safe delivery of works. This role suits someone who enjoys being visible onsite, building relationships and driving practical safety outcomes across complex, fast-moving environments.

Duties

  • Provide onsite HSE advice across project activities
  • Lead hazard identification and risk control processes
  • Conduct site inspections and safety observations
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings
  • Monitor compliance with NZ legislation and site standards

Skills and experience

  • Relevant HSE qualifications
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure or industrial sites
  • Strong knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
  • Confident engaging contractors and project stakeholders
  • Audit and investigation experience
