Kristin School is a large, multi-site educational community set across 50 acres in Albany, comprising three schools and two Early Childhood Centres. With more than 1,800 students and over 350 staff, our campus operates like a small, self-contained organisation with a diverse range of environments, activities, and operational risks. 

Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this newly created 12-month fixed term role is a hands-on, delivery-focused position. It offers the opportunity to build your portfolio by supporting three priority areas, including contractor management, assisting with the roll-out for a new state-of-the-art staff learning management system and support for the Health & Safety Management System. 

This full-time role is based at our campus in Albany, working on-site Monday to Friday. The role is initially fixed-term for 12 months, however, has the potential to become permanent. 

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake 

We are seeking a team player with the following skills: 

● NZ H & S experience: A solid understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 from within a New Zealand context. 

● Professional Alignment: Operating at, or working towards, NZISM Practitioner level (or equivalent) paired with a highly practical, common-sense approach to safety. 

● Digital Savvy: High proficient with digital platforms and data; experience implementing or using H & S software systems an advantage. 

● Super Organisation: Exceptional attention to detail, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts. 

● Communication & Discretion: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the absolute discretion required when working in an educational environment. What we offer | Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou
