We are seeking experienced Health & Safety Contractors to support a range of projects across the Waikato region. If you have a strong background in construction health and safety, enjoy working autonomously, and are passionate about creating safer workplaces, we want to hear from you.

Duties

  • Deliver onsite Health and Safety support for construction and industrial clients
  • Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments
  • Assist with incident investigations and reporting
  • Maintain and develop Health and Safety systems, documentation and compliance records
  • Provide practical coaching and guidance to site teams
  • Ensure alignment with legislative requirements and client expectations

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in Health and Safety within construction (preferred)
  • Experience around high energy hazards
  • Have a strong practical approach
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate clearly
  • Solid report-writing and documentation skills
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, NZQA, Level 3–6, or equivalent)

Most of our contracting roles involve a combination of responsibilities and requirements to get the job done. Contracts can last anywhere between 4 weeks and 12 months, depending on the clients’ requirements. This allows you the freedom to work as you desire, but also partner with and work alongside amazing organisations.

Over the last 17 years our clients have enjoyed the flexibility that our contracting teams provide, and our clients often require interim support whilst they develop and expand their own safety teams or of course, while we recruit for the permanent appointments.
