About the role
This Health and Safety Business Partner role is ideal for someone who likes being close to the work. You will partner with operational and technical teams, support audits and reviews, strengthen contractor and field engagement and help teams apply health and safety controls in a practical way. The role requires someone approachable, organised and confident turning risk and assurance activity into actions people can use.
Duties
• Partner with operational and technical teams across the business
• Support audits, reviews and assurance activity
• Help improve risk controls and practical safety implementation
• Build strong relationships with workers, leaders and contractors
• Support investigations, follow up actions and continuous improvement
• Stay visible in the field and connected to day-to-day operations
Skills and experience
• Relevant New Zealand Health and Safety qualification
• Good knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
• Experience in operational health and safety, audits or assurance
• Experience supporting risk assessments, investigations or contractor management
• Ability to build rapport and credibility with a wide range of people
• Practical, organised and solutions focused working style
• Strong communication and business partnering skills
