Our client is a recognised leader in New Zealand's civil infrastructure sector and is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support projects throughout Hawke's Bay and the wider East Coast region.
This role offers plenty of autonomy. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll be trusted to manage your region, build strong relationships with project teams and provide practical health and safety leadership across multiple sites.
You'll lead complex incident investigations, undertake assurance activities, coach operational leaders, verify critical controls and help embed safe work practices that deliver real outcomes. Success in this role comes from balancing excellent site engagement with strong written reporting and investigation skills.
What you'll bring
- Health & Safety qualification (NZQA Level 4+, Diploma preferred)
- Proven construction or civil H&S experience
- Able to work autonomously across a regional portfolio
- Excellent investigation, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
