Reporting to the Manager – Health and Safety, this role provides professional Health and Safety advice and support across operational and project environments. Working closely with site teams, contractors and senior leaders, you’ll ensure best practice health and safety principles are embedded in daily operations.
Your role will be both hands-on and strategic - promoting a proactive safety culture, supporting incident investigations and driving continuous improvement within a well-established HSEQ framework.

• Provide Health and Safety technical advice and guidance to employees, contractors and stakeholders
• Develop and embed internal Health and Safety training and refreshers
• Facilitate incident investigations and learning teams (TapRoot or ICAM)
• Lead and coach others in risk review meetings
• Conduct audits, inspections and Health and Safety close-out reporting
• Support wellness and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation
• Contribute to improving HSEQ systems, policies and standards
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (minimum Level 4 or higher)
• TapRoot or ICAM certification (preferred)
• 3 - 5 years’ Health and Safety experience, ideally within high-risk operational industries (e.g. WAH, CSE, Hot Work, Live Gas, Excavations)
• Sound understanding of HSEQ legislation and practical application
• Experience with behavioural-based safety and learning teams
• Excellent communication, influencing and coaching skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence
