- Provide leadership and advice to the senior leadership team, managers, and employees on all aspects of Health & Safety.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective actions and sharing learnings across the network.
- Drive Health & Safety training, mentoring, and supporting H&S representatives and leaders across the business.
- Oversee Health & Safety audits, reporting, and compliance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Skills & experience you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline (Diploma or higher).
- 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within distribution, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of the New Zealand Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and proven ability to apply it in practice.
- ICAM accreditation required.
- Strong experience with H&S management systems and compliance reporting.
- Proven track record in building positive safety cultures and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong influencing and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks, and deliver practical, effective solutions.

Inclusion + Diversity
Research shows that some individuals, particularly women and underrepresented groups, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single criterion. If you don't think your experience perfectly aligns, or you don't tick all the boxes, please don’t rule yourself out! Plumbing World is committed to hiring a diverse team, and we encourage individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to apply.
We are also committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. If you require accommodations (such as alternate formats, accessible meeting rooms, etc.), please include these in your cover letter and we will work with you to meet your needs.
The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test prior to the commencement of employment.
