Waikato Branch Manager candidatesApril 2026 Candidates are presented in alphabetical order by first name. Adrian Teriaki Tēnā koutou katoa. Ko Maungatautari tōku Maunga, Ko Waikato tōku Awa, Ko Tainui tōku Waka, Ko Ngāti Haua tōku Iwi, Ko Te Iti O Haua tōku Marae, Ko Teriaki tōku Whanau, Ko Adrian tāku ingoa. Born and raised in the Waikato, I bring a grounded, people-first approach to health and safety. My career spans retail, food, tourism, and the maintenance industry — a sector I believe is under-recognised in safety research and practice. Over the past three years I’ve had the freedom to explore what genuinely good H&S looks like, and recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Occupational Health and Safety, with further postgraduate study planned. As an NZISM member I’ve valued the diverse perspectives our community offers. Now I want to help grow that community locally. My goal as Waikato Branch Manager is simple — more connection and shared learning. My experience as a Hamilton Pride board member has sharpened my event organisation skills, and I’m ready to put those to work for us. I’d love to see Waikato H&S professionals building something great together. I hope you’ll give me the chance. Whāia te mātauranga hei oranga mō koutou — Seek after learning for the sake of your wellbeing. Amy Zinserling I am a passionate health and safety professional, an active NZISM member, and HASANZ registered. I currently work as a Senior Health and Safety Specialist across a range of industries. I care deeply about people and the role our profession plays in influencing safer, healthier workplaces. I am particularly focused on bringing people together and supporting the growth of H&S professionals within our region, and have seen first-hand the value strong local networks can have on both individuals and the wider profession. Through my work, I see the value of creating spaces where H&S professionals can openly share experiences, challenges, and lessons learned. I am passionate about supporting professionals at all stages of their careers by creating inclusive environments where people feel comfortable to connect, learn, and grow. As a member, I have often travelled to events in other regions, which has highlighted the opportunity to further strengthen our local Waikato offering. If elected, I would focus on building a connected, engaging and valuable branch that provides meaningful opportunities for members to connect, learn and grow closer to home. Taryn Roebuck I’m a caring, fun and energetic person with a genuine passion for health, safety and wellbeing. At the heart of everything I do is people. I’m a people-focused leader who truly values strong relationships and believes that trust, respect and open communication are essential to success. I lead with integrity and authenticity and I’m committed to creating environments where people feel safe, supported and empowered to do their best work. I believe wellbeing isn’t just a policy or a process — it’s about how we show up for one another every day. If elected, I promise to listen, to lead with purpose, and to represent you with honesty and care. I bring energy, positivity and a strong commitment to doing what’s right, even when it’s not easy. My volunteer roles with the SPCA in Australia and as Administrator for the Holden Commodore Car Club in Auckland have strengthened my ability to see diverse perspectives and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life. I have participated in many of the webinars over my 10 months of being a member and am looking forward to attending the next branch event.
