Tauranga: Introduction to the Institute of Directors (IoD) and Governance

Governance and its influence on risk and safety

The Institute of Directors New Zealand (IoD) is the leading professional body for governance, with more than 10,000 members in Aotearoa.

The IoD exists to strengthen governance capability across New Zealand by supporting directors, boards, and senior leaders with practical guidance, professional development, thought leadership, and governance best practice.

Presented by Megan Beveridge, this introductory session will help health and safety professionals understand how strong governance influences risk, accountability, and safety outcomes at board level. You’ll gain insight into how the IoD supports leaders, and how you can better understand and influence governance in your organisation.
