Manufacturing is one of New Zealand's most diverse work environments — and traditional safety investigation approaches often fall short. They explain what went wrong, but rarely help us understand why work happens the way it does.
In this session, Moni Hogg introduces Learning Teams — a structured, facilitated approach to team-based enquiry that helps organisations understand work as it's actually done, not just as it's imagined.
Drawing on real-world experience delivering Learning Teams across complex, high-risk industries, Moni will explore how this approach can be applied in manufacturing settings to improve operational learning, workforce engagement, and risk management — including how to engage diverse, multicultural teams in meaningful safety conversations.
You'll walk away with:
Who is this for? Health and safety professionals, operations managers, and team leaders working in New Zealand's manufacturing sector.
