Helen has spent her career working on and in the health and safety system. She’s been a regulator, a consultant regulator, a consultant, and in-house across private, public, and charitable organisations. She’s advised from the outside and carried accountability on the inside, sometimes on the very same issues. Helen's work has spanned operational, strategic, and system-level health and safety. It’s included serious events, legal contexts, and more time in rooms with lawyers than she ever planned, where every word matters and none of them are short. It’s also included the slow work of shaping governance, decision-making, and systems that have to hold up when things get messy. Some of it confronting. Some of it essential. Some of it undeniably boring.
