Presented by Garth Butson from ACC, this session will walk through our end‑to‑end claim management approach, including an introduction to the MYACC platform and how it supports effective claim handling. We’ll unpack experience rating, clarify key responsibilities, and highlight tools and resources developed to support both managers and workers throughout the process.
A strong focus will be placed on Recovery at Work, with practical guidance on:
- Early engagement and proactive support
- Effective communication with injured workers
- Strategies that enable safe, timely, and sustainable return to work outcomes

Garth Butson is the Relationship Manager for ACC’s Southern region. He has worked for ACC for over 20 years and has seen significant change in both how ACC operates and how businesses across Southland engage with injury management and recovery. Originally from Gore, Garth brings strong regional knowledge and a practical, relationship‑focused approach to supporting organisations.
