NZISM / Saiosh Reciprocal Agreement

New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) and South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Saiosh) are excited to announce the signing of a Reciprocal Agreement. This is an important step in opening up our global partnerships and acknowledging the internationally aligned standards for the health and safety profession within our two countries. This agreement provides a framework for continued cooperation and mutual recognition of our members. Reciprocal grading will be applied with the following alignment:
- Saiosh Technical Member = NZISM Practitioner
- Saiosh Graduate Member = NZISM Professional
- Saiosh Chartered Member = NZISM Chartered Professional
- Saiosh Chartered Fellow = NZISM Chartered Fellow
- Saiosh Associate or Member = NZISM Affiliate
Saiosh members who qualified after 2009 will be automatically recognised by NZISM; those who qualified before 2009 will need to be individually assessed. To apply for reciprocal accreditation, membership subscriptions must be current and the continuing professional development requirements must be met. For those joining NZISM this means use of the NZISM myCPD online tool.
