This year NZISM is launching the inaugural Practitioner to Professional Award. This award will be given to one accredited NZISM Practitioner member every year. The award will include a year’s complimentary membership to NZISM with the many benefits associated with membership and a 12-month mentorship with a Certified Professional NZISM member.
The aim of the award is to acknowledge the mahi required of our accredited Practitioners who are studying to achieve NZISM Professional level accreditation. By gifting membership and providing a mentorship for the year, we hope to encourage and support the transition from NZISM Practitioner to NZISM Professional.
Dan Davis CertProfNZISM will be our mentor for the winning applicant.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be a current accredited NZISM Practitioner (PractNZISM) who is undertaking study of a minimum level 6 Diploma in OHS, either PT or FT for the year the award is chosen.
TO ENTER
Simply tell us in 300 words or less why you believe professional status is important for health and safety at work in New Zealand. All entries must be submitted to admin@nzism.org by 28th February 2021. The winner will be notified by email and will be promoted out to members in the NZISM newsletter. Good luck to all the applicants!
YET TO DETERMINE A COURSE? Remember to check out our valuable new Pathways to Professional Accreditation brochure, where much of the fact-gathering work has been done for you. You might also find it useful to head to our new Blog Spot where some of our members have shared their personal learning experiences from their chosen Graduate Diploma.
Thank you for joining the Women in Safety Excellence (WISE) network.
We hold various online and face-to-face events throughout the year and if one occurs near you, we would love to meet you in person.
LinkedIn - Please make sure you join our LinkedIn group to stay connected and on top of our planned webinars and events. We encourage you to post anything in the WISE group page that you think other network members would find useful or inspiring. Please don't be shy. The more we reach out, the more we connect with each other, and the more we can help each other on our journeys.
We might send you the occasional email but our web page on the NZISM website is always the best place to go for an overview of what's coming up in the WISE calendar.
Best wishes,
