The role:

Reporting to the HSQE Manager, as the Senior HSQE Advisor in our Auckland office this role will see you working across the business in the ongoing implementation and embedding of our Health and Safety Roadmap along with other initiatives.

A key part of this role is building and maintaining relationships while interacting with various stakeholders to ensure HSQE management systems are in place and working effectively. It will also see you managing the updating of reporting systems, investigating incidents, monitoring, analysing and reporting on our subcontractors HSQE performance with the view of reducing risk and embedding corrective actions while ensuring quality is maintained through operational activities with emphasis on good practice, procedures and operator competencies.

Who we’re looking for:

An experienced HSQE professional who is a champion of health, safety and environmental principles who preferably has experience in a contracting environment, Electricity experience is advantageous but not essential.

You’ll be able to demonstrate your:

- Experience in root cause investigation analysis methodologies, managing audit programmes, data and risk analysis

- Proven training and presentation ability

- Tenacity in taking problems through to successful outcomes despite potential barriers

- Ability to build trust and maintain strong collaborative working relationships both in professional and front line field environments

- A team player with a great ‘can do’ attitude

- Someone with strong interpersonal skills preferably experienced in working in a multi-cultural environment.

IOSH, NEBOSH certificate is highly advantageous but not essential.
