The role
We are looking for a Senior Health & Safety Specialist, to be our person, our expert, in all things health & safety. Reporting to our Group General Manager - People & Culture, you will proactively develop, manage, co-ordinate and facilitate Douglas health and safety policies, systems and audit requirements at a group level.
Don't be fooled though, this is so much more than a policy, "tick the box" type role. Our Senior Specialist is integral in safeguarding our people, organisation and reputation. You will ensure focus is maintained on health and safety issues, monitor compliance and assist our leaders to develop and sustain a safe and healthy work place.
Our site is a GMP site, which makes this job so much more complex and interesting by overlaying GMP requirements over current H&S legislation.
You will also lead emergency management, H&S training, PPE Compliance and Employee Health, Wellness and Rehabilitation programmes.

We are an essential service business, we might need you anytime, also you might need some time too, which is why we run a flexible working ship. You will have a number of years experience, be suitably qualified and affiliated with all the organisations you should be in this role.
