Reporting to the COO, the Senior H&S Business Partner will partner with Managers to develop and deliver best practice, integrated and fit for purpose Health & Safety programmes and interventions, aligned to strategic objectives and safe workplace practices, to meet Accredited Employer scheme requirements. The role provides subject matter expertise and counsel in H&S systems, processes and procedures, working alongside Managers to understand their business and ensure achievement of H&S objectives, standards and compliance, as well as delivery of H&S programmes and interventions. The role is pivotal for establishing clear accountability and ownership of Health and Safety across TransDiesel, actively engaging with frontline leaders to provide guidance and support to implement risk management controls, improve H&S competencies and drive a Health & Safety culture.

To be successful in the role, you will possess a relevant qualification in Health & Safety combined with demonstrated experience in a Health & Safety role within a business partnering framework, with responsibility for ensuring the delivery of H&S systems, processes and procedures to improve, monitor and report on Health & Safety programmes and interventions. A working knowledge of NZ Health and Safety regulatory requirements and administrative frameworks, and experience in dealing with regulators relating to managing health and safety is essential, as is the ability to implement Health & Safety interventions that enable cultural development and change. The role requires an individual with excellent relationship management skills, strong commercial awareness, and a high level of communication and influencing capability at all levels, in all aspects of Health & Safety across the organisation.
